Fresh off the heels of a devastating breakup, Riley Benson is a mess. But with her ingenious plan to become a ball-busting heartbreaker herself, she’s pretty sure she’ll survive. After all, what better way is there to get revenge than to move on?

Riley’s determined to become the perfect bachelorette—she’s going to drink like a bro, belch like a beast and swear so much that she’ll make even the most seasoned sailors blush. After all, those are the qualities that every guy’s secretly looking for…. aren’t they?

Max Fletcher is in love with the girl who gave him chicken pox and his first broken leg. When his best friend seems to finally be out of the picture, he can’t help but want to keep Riley all to himself. And, after coaching her with the very best of the very worst love advice, it seems as if he might actually get what he's wanted after all those years. But just as the two come to the realization that they're actually kind of perfect for each other, along comes a secret that threatens to tear them apart.

Thank you to Wunderland Press for giving me a copy in exchange for an honest review!

I am such a sucker for these kinds of books or movies with the same plot line no matter how cliche and at times, misogynistic it is. It's the epitome of real life. There are no sugarcoating. No nonsense. Just pure human emotion and stupidity.

Riley is pretty much a character that you can relate to. I mean, I'm pretty sure most people who were in their twenties went through the same thing that Riley went through. She's in college. She has a boyfriend. It's pretty much what new adults are right now.

Only she was pretty clueless. Her boyfriend cheated on her. Not once, but twenty times. Riley went through the whole break up phase. She and her friends practically robbed the liquor section of the supermarket. That happens in real life no matter how cliche that is.

I laughed so hard when Max gave these really weird advises to Riley when she started going on a dating spree. I mean, why in the world would you wear sweatpants to a date? And it's just so disgusting when burp loud. Just. No. Max was so adorable. He liked Riley practically his whole life but he's in the friend zone. I guess, it makes sense. He didn't want to destroy their friendship with his feelings for Riley.

But that defeats the purpose when he slept with Riley. Twice. I really thought that theirs would that things would go smoothly with them. But of course, that doesn't happen.

I wanted to scream at Riley so bad when she entertained the thought of getting back together with Noah. Then when she got back together with Noah, I was

Like really?! There are indeed people like that. Friends who are like that. I can't count on my two hands the times that some of my friends did this.

The ending was the best. I'm glad that Max manned up. And that they are going on their on first REAL date.
